How to Remove the Extruder Shell
¶
Tools Needed: H2 Allen Key/Hex Wrench
With the power on for the M5, Move the belt for the extruder to the middle position of the Z axis. Once done, power down the M5.
Using a wrench, remove the PTFE tube completely by unscrewing it from the extruder.
Use a H2 wrench head to loosen the two screws on the Type-C cable of the extruder, and then gently pull out the Type-C cable.
Use a H2 wrench head to loosen the four screws on the back of the extruder, and then remove the top cover and cover of the extruder.
